My training is not in art, but in dance. As a younger woman I received a BFA in modern dance from Southern Methodist University. My passion even then was improvisation which I now carry over into my art work.
Allowing myself to paint with no plan or pattern is tremendously satisfying to me. Being in the moment and letting go into whatever wants to be expressed brings mystery and space to the process. Having been a meditator for many years as well has helped me to stay grounded and let things happen.
